Do I need a prescription?

For the chamber itself, no — AeroKat, AeroDawg and AeroHippus are sold openly on Amazon. The metered-dose inhaler that clicks into it is medicine, and that half of the partnership comes from your veterinarian.

Which inhalers fit?

Any standard metered-dose inhaler — the L-shaped puffer format used for human asthma. The chamber's soft rear seal is designed around that common shape, so whatever your vet prescribes, it clicks in.

How do I know my animal actually inhaled the dose?

That is the Flow-Vu indicator's whole job: the orange paddle in your sightline moves only when a sealed mask and a real inhale pull air through the chamber. Count the swings — vets typically suggest holding the mask for seven to ten breaths, but follow your own vet's number.

How do I clean it?

Weekly, in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap: swish, rinse, and let it air-dry standing up — no towel, since rubbing invites static back in. No dishwasher, no boiling, and check the valve for wear while it dries.

My cat hates it. Is that final?

Almost never. Nine reluctant patients out of ten come around within a week of unhurried conditioning — the mask lives near the food bowl, then brings treats, then rests on the face for a second at a time. The whole choreography is written out in our first-week guide.
